Fitness should prepare you for your life.
About us
Most fitness programs are built to help you get better at working out. We built Lagree Pulse 45 to help you get more out of everything that happens after the workout is over.
We want you to have the strength to carry what needs carrying, the energy to stay present through a full day, and the confidence to say yes when life gives you the chance to do something you love. Because the real value of fitness isn’t measured by how exhausted you feel when class ends. It’s measured by how much more capable you feel when you walk back into your life.
We believe your life is the point.
The fitness industry has spent years teaching people to treat exercise like a test. How hard did you push? How many calories did you burn? How sore were you the next morning? Did you keep up with everyone else?
But most people aren’t exercising because they want to become exceptional at exercise. They want to feel good getting out of bed. They want enough energy left for the people they care about. They want to travel, work, play, explore, carry, climb, reach, and move without constantly wondering whether their body can handle it.
That’s why we believe the workout itself is only part of the story. The more important question is what the workout gives back to your life. Does it help you trust your body more? Does it make the things you love easier to keep doing? Does it expand what feels possible instead of becoming one more thing you have to recover from?
At Lagree Pulse 45, those are the results we care about.
Why we built Lagree Pulse 45 differently
A capable body needs more than one kind of fitness.
Life rarely asks you to use strength, endurance, balance, or coordination by themselves. It asks you to carry something while staying steady, climb without running out of breath, or to shift your weight, change direction, reach, rotate, and respond when movement doesn’t happen exactly as planned.
That’s why Lagree Pulse 45 wasn’t built around a single method and expected to do everything. Lagree, VersaClimber, and TRX each train your body in a different way. One develops the strength to create and control movement; one builds the capacity to keep going; and one teaches your body to work together through the positions and patterns that show up in everyday life.
Together, they create a more complete approach to fitness. Not simply more variety, but a clear reason behind every class we offer…
Built by people who believe fitness should give you more
Lagree Pulse 45 was created by Heather and Jesse Shay around a shared belief that fitness should do more than challenge you for 45 minutes. It should help you feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in the life you return to afterward.
That belief shaped the methods they brought together, the coaches they chose to build around them, and the kind of experience they want every member to have. This isn’t a studio where you’re expected to keep up, figure it out alone, or prove that you belong. It’s a place where people know your name, pay attention to how you move, and help you keep building from where you are.
Heather, Jesse, and the coaching team each bring their own experience and personality to the studio, but they share the same standard: thoughtful instruction, personal attention, and challenge that serves a purpose.

Born and raised in KC!
Hometown -
Fitness background- I started dancing at the age of 3, falling in love with Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop. I started my personal fitness journey lifting weights in college and found I really enjoyed fitness. I dabbled in personal training, group fitness, Crossfit, Pilates, and Yoga. I even taught my own “Booty Boot Camp”! I found Lagree a few years ago but didn’t love the studio I was in. I decided to give Lagree another chance at a new studio with a tennis friend and the rest is history! Outside of Lagree, I’m always down to do anything active from going for walks, bike riding, hiking, roller skating or my favorite past time; tennis! If it involves moving your body, I’m in!
What sets me apart from other instructors - As a LP45 instructor, I bring a fresh perspective and a strong focus on the fundamentals. I understand what it’s like to be new to the method, so I prioritize clear instruction, proper form, and steady progression. My coaching blends a lifelong foundation in dance and body awareness with strength training principles to create controlled, highly effective workouts. I aim to be known for creating an uplifting, high- energy space while keeping form and intention at the forefront. I bring a balance of challenge and encouragement, helping you feel strong, capable, and supported every step of the way. I give every part of my class a lot of thought, from music playlists to flow of routines, to make sure each class is the best it can be!
Teaching style - My goal is to help you feel confident on the Megaformer while building strength and endurance, to assist you in a proper body position to help avoid injury and get the most out of each exercise. I want every one of my classes to challenge and empower you! I understand that sometimes just getting to class might be a challenge in itself and I’ll always make it a priority to meet you where you are at that day, encouraging you to trust yourself and how hard you want to go. Just know I’ll push you, but I’ve got you the whole way through.
Why I chose to teach Lagree - As someone who deals with autoimmune disease daily, I value joint health as well as mobility and proper form. Finding a program where I could still strength train but keep it low impact was important to me. I fell in love with Lagree for its ability to transform not just your body, but your mindset. I always known I have wanted to do something in the fitness industry but until I found Lagree I wasn’t sure what that was. Now I know I want to help others build strength, confidence, and to be as mobile as possible for life!
